Holocaust Denial

no_more_anti_semitismThe purpose of this page is not to try and prove that the Holocaust happened but to show that even with all the evidence, some people still deny the Holocaust ever occurred. The list of holocaust deniers includes high ranking religious figures along with leaders of entire countries.

Listed below is a sample collection of statements made by high profile Holocaust deniers.

Pope Welcomes Holocaust Denier: (Pope Benedict XVI)
Bishop Richard Williamson In a move that many Jewish community officials said would cause relations between Jews and Catholics to further deteriorate, the Vatican on Saturday (1-24-2009) lifted an excommunication ban against Bishop Richard Williamson, one of four bishops who were banned in 1988 for taking on the office of bishop against the wishes of then-Pope John Paul II.

Williamson is a Holocaust denier, and has repeatedly said that the gas chambers did not exist and that no more than 300,000 Jews were killed during World War II, mostly of starvation. In addition, Williamson has declared that the Jews are plotting to take over the world, and that the U.S. and Israel were behind 9/11.

In an interview with Swedish television conducted last November but broadcast last week, Williamson said that he believed that there were “no gas chambers."

“Between 200,000-300,000 perished in Nazi concentration camps, but not one of them by gassing in a gas chamber,” he said, adding, “I believe that the historical evidence is hugely against 6 million having been deliberately gassed in gas chambers as a deliberate policy of Adolf Hitler.”(1)

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad: (Current President Of Iran 05-01-2013)

mahmoud_ahmadinejad_1On 14 December 2005, Ahmadinejad made several controversial statements about the Holocaust, repeatedly referring to it as a "myth," as well as criticizing European laws against Holocaust denial. In August 2006, the Iranian leader was reported to have again cast doubt on the existence of the Holocaust, this time in a letter to German Chancellor Angela Merkel, where he wrote that the Holocaust may have been invented by the Allied powers to embarrass Germany.

American President Barack Obama posed a direct challenge to Ahmadinejad during his June 2009 visit to Buchenwald concentration camp, saying that Ahmadinejad "should make his own visit" to the camp and that "this place is the ultimate rebuke to such thoughts, a reminder of our duty to confront those who would tell lies about our history."(2)

David Duke: (Former Republican legislator for the State of Louisiana 1989-1992)

david_duke_14-24-2009: Former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke was detained by police in the Czech Republic on Friday on suspicion of denying the Holocaust. Police spokesman Jan Mikulovsky said the action was taken because Duke does that in his book "My Awakening," which is punishable by up to three years in Czech prisons. Duke traveled to the republic to promote the book's Czech translation of the book at the invitation of neo-Nazis.(3)

Mahmoud Abbas (A.K.A. Abu Mazon) Current President of the Palestinian Authority (05-01-2013).

mahmoud_abbas_1Abbas left Egypt to go study law and subsequently pursued graduate studies in Moscow, where he earned a doctorate. His doctoral thesis later became a book (titled The Other Side: The Secret Relations between Nazism and the Leadership of the Zionist Movement) which denied both the scope and gravity of the Nazi Holocaust. According to Abbas, "only a few hundred thousand Jews" were killed in the Holocaust and those mostly through collusion between the Nazis and the Zionists.(4)

There are many more political leaders who deny the Holocaust.

Miscellaneous:

There is undisputable evidence that the Holocaust existed. Some of the death camps are still standing. Museums around the world have collected thousands of documents and artifacts from this evil event.
