1) Cook noodles in boiling salted
water 10 minutes.
2) Drain in colander and rinse slightly through with hot water.
3) Put back in same pot and add margarine in chunks allowing it to melt into the hot noodles.
4) Beat eggs slightly and add cinnamon, sugar and vanilla.
5) Add to noodles along with sour cream, raisins, pineapple, and grated apple.
6) Mix well.
7) Pour mixture into a 2 quart baking dish to which you have already
added the liquid vegetable shortening.
8) Top with bread crumbs and bake 40 minutes at 350 degrees.
9) Top should be golden brown.
(Vary according to taste and add different fruits
or even chopped almonds.) Serves 6-8. |
